Objectivity, support and uncovering your inner self defines therapy for me. I am drawn by what led individuals to who they are physically, emotionally and mentally TODAY and how I can help them to unlock their future potential.
I sit with you, and together we help to gain insights into your emotions in an attempt to guide you to becoming the person that you want to be.
My personal struggles with diabetes and weight loss has shown me that the generalization and ALL or NONE attitude towards weight loss does not work. Tailoring weight loss to the masses does not work for all individuals. Through dealing with my own struggles, I have found that weight loss forced me into facing past trauma and events and learning new ways of coping with these conflicts. Through trial and error, I found systems and support that worked for me, and I moved into therapy to help others find ways towards health and happiness for themselves.
Who are you? Why are you here? What are your goals and expectations for our time together? I work with you through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help modify your perspective on life so you have more control over your thoughts, behaviors, and actions. Our choices are governed by our past; when we accept the struggles and move through them, we are able to modify the way we think to unlock a new you. We can work together to reset your life expectations and move through what is weighing you down. I look forward to helping you with this process.
