Is aging an attitude or is it just a number? Are you really only as old as you feel? Some days feeling older than others and wondering “what have I done with my life?”
A positive outlook can enhance the quality of life but some times that’s just not enough. Growing older presents many challenges: physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and cognitively. An integrated approach to improving quality of life is our approach. With you, we can address concerns about:
– facing loss
– changing relationships
– dealing with adult sons and daughters
– reviewing life events that have affected your current mood and emotions
Building a trusting relationship with a mental health practitioner who will understand your issues in a supportive, non-confrontational manner is major step forward with resolving personal challenges. I have years of experience with assisting older adults with complex health and mental health issues. I have been working in the field of aging in mental health facilities and in healthcare systems as well as teaching courses in Mental Health and Aging at Arizona State University.
It would be a privilege for my colleagues and I to assist you with your challenges. We can support you as you experience a stronger sense of personal empowerment over your life. Mental healthcare is an important part of the overall, comprehensive life management approach to growing older with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
