Older Adult Practitioner
Is aging an attitude or is it just a number?
Are you really only as old as you feel? Some days feeling older than others and wondering “what have I done with my life?”
A positive outlook can enhance the quality of life but some times that’s just not enough. Growing older presents many challenges: physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and cognitively. An integrated approach to improving the quality of life is our approach. With you, we can address concerns about:
– facing loss
– changing relationships
– dealing with adult sons and daughters
– reviewing life events that have affected your current mood and emotions
Building a trusting relationship with a mental health practitioner who will understand your issues in a supportive, non-confrontational manner is a major step forward with resolving personal challenges. I have years of experience in assisting older adults with complex health and mental health issues. I have been working in the field of aging in mental health facilities and in healthcare systems as well as teaching courses in Mental Health and Aging at Arizona State University.
