Charisse “Abena” Moore is a dynamic leader passionate about helping people to become active participants in their healing. She has more than ten years of social service, therapy, research, youth development, and administrative experience. She has worked in numerous psychiatric and medical settings, nonprofits, and NGOs, globally to enhance access to resources to build sustainable communities of color worldwide.  Charisse holds a Master's degree in Social Work from The  Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in Saint Louis. She is currently licensed in the states of Arizona and Missouri. As a trauma therapist, Charisse has served many populations, from adolescents with childhood trauma to sexual assault survivors, veterans, intimate partner violence survivors, and many more. She is an LGBTQ-friendly therapist who welcomes all identities seeking support with healing from traumatic life experiences. Her personal philosophy is “There is more than one way to get to Walmart,” meaning there are many paths to healing, and no one way is better than another. She is dedicated to helping you to align with your most authentic self, and to find the best path to facilitate your own personal healing journey.
