G.E.M.S. In Color

G.E.M.S.® In Color is a 6-week self-esteem and empowerment group for girls of color in grades 6th-8th. This group aims to provide girls of color with a supportive and empowering space to explore their identities, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and foster meaningful connections with their peers.

This group utilizes the G.E.M.S. Model of Empowerment™ which focuses on the 4 C's Clarity, Connection, Consistency, and Courage. After this group girls will have greater clarity on who they are and what's important to them, establish and have the skills to make healthy connections, be consistent in showing up as their authentic selves, and have the courage to speak up and speak out.

The group meets for 90 minutes once a week for 6 weeks and the cost includes all the materials needed.

Who is this group for?

This group is specifically designed for girls who identify as Black, Latina, Indigenous, Biracial, or Multiracial

Even though a licensed clinician leads this group this is not a substitute for therapy. This group is a skills-based empowerment group. For resources on locating a licensed mental health professional or a therapy-based group feel free to reach out.
