G.E.M.S. (Girls Empowered, Motivated, and Strong) was created by Erica Tatum-Sheade, LCSW to provide girls a space to learn and grow into their authentic selves.
Utilizing the G.E.M.S. Model of Empowerment over the course of the group girls focus on the 4 C's Clarity, Connection, Consistency, and Courage.
Clarity- Understanding who we are and why that matters. Getting clear about what matters the most to us individually
Connection-Learning the skills needed to create healthy relationships with ourselves and others, understanding our role in the world and the importance of collaboration.
Consistency-Learning the importance of consistently showing up as our authentic self in the world.
Courage- Gaining the skills to take bold steps and embracing our courage to change the world around us.
Using research-proven cognitive-behavioral principles, Individual Psychology concepts, shame resilience, character building, and FUN! Girls gain the knowledge needed to love themselves and build self-confidence.
