It is my experience that we all at one time or another have faced adversity, emotional distress, anxiety or depression, and during these times we can feel incredibly overwhelmed and alone.
I am often reminded by my clients that it only takes one courageous step to bring about positive meaningful change. I believe that this is the time when we should reach out courageously for assistance and start to look for answers to deal with these challenges. If you are reading this, I encourage you to take that first step. I meet my clients where they are in the moment and assist them in managing their feelings and provide them with positive emotional support.
I provide a safe, supportive and healing space that fosters a collaborative relationship with my clients to discuss these problems. I help my clients to explore ways to make changes in their lives by identifying specific goals and by nurturing personal strengths and abilities. My goal through the supportive therapeutic process is to encourage clients to develop tools and resources that improves one’s overall health and well-being that promotes a positive outlook on the future and interpersonal relationships. I offer a strong emphasis on person-centered care by focusing on the specific needs of the individual and incorporating cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness and EMDR techniques within sessions.
